The One Thing You Need to Do To Sound and Feel Great
I’ve been a little quiet of late. Grief, perhaps. Adjusting to a world where my dad isn’t around to talk to any more.
Watching. Listening. The world has felt so noisy and destabilising that I’ve wanted to sit quietly and let the snow storm settle around me. I’ve needed to stand and stare.
Growing. I heard the wonderful Elif Shafak speak late last year. She talked about how the Yazidis say that in Spring you must tread lightly as the earth is pregnant.

I’m treading lightly at the moment as I’m in a growth phase. I’ve been immersed in Rebecca Dennis’ wonderful breath facilitator programme since September.
It’s been deeper and tougher and far far more wonderful than I could ever have imagined. But it’s all happening under the ground right now and I’m treading lightly.
I will have lots to share over the next few months, but for now I want to invite you to notice what I’m noticing in myself.
Notice when you hold your breath. Check in when you have a quiet moment.
Is the breath flowing or is it frozen?
When it’s held, what happens to how you perceive the world?
And when you let it flow what changes?
The flow is easy to find when you notice.
Remember a feeling of relief or ease and notice that the breath knows exactly what to do.
Although life (phones, stress, rushing) makes us freeze so much, when we let the breath flow life energy, we discover that those physical green shoots are waiting just below the surface.
If you’re curious, give it a try.
Unfreeze your breath for a few moments and notice what you experience. And if you feel moved too, I’d love to hear what you notice.
All my Best,
Caroline. x
